In Jönköping County, we must take advantage of everyone’s resources to handle the challenges of the future and increase the attractiveness of the county. Here, people should be able to live, work and develop without limitation, for example, gender, background and disability. But how are we doing? Many good examples are highlighted at the Equal Growth Conference in Jönköping on 26 September 2018.
The list of speakers is well-filled and participants can listen to dedicated and inspiring lecturers from different areas. Well-known influenza and author Clara Lidström (“Wonderful Clara”) and Internet researcher Annakarin Nyberg talk about digital entrepreneurship, other subjects are cultural skills, creative diversity work and norm-creative urban planning.
Local inspectors for gender equality work are Magnus Färjhage, Vetlanda Municipality and Calle Andersson, Science Park. Increased attractiveness and more innovations Equal growth increases both the attractiveness and potential of innovations in Jönköping County.
The conference ends the project Equalized Regional Growth, a government assignment that Region Jönköping County runs 2016-2018 with funds from the Swedish Tillväxtverket. “The conference will inspire continued gender equality work in the county’s companies and organizations,” says Mikaela Dinu Billström, project manager. It will be a good opportunity for raising skills and exchanges of experience in gender equality and inclusion.
